Overview
Meridian occupies a full block at the seam of the Financial District and Battery Park, replacing a 1960s slab with 740,000 square feet of high-performance office stack and a public ground plane that doubles the previous setback.
The tower's structural innovation is a perimeter mega-frame transferring all gravity and lateral load to twelve columns at the property line — leaving each floor plate column-free across an eighty-foot lease span. A four-hundred-ton tuned-mass damper in the upper crown moderates wind sway to within seven millimeters at the design event.
